Increase Traffic On Your Website For Free
There are many ways to increase traffic to your website without forking out any money. To succeed you will only need time, creativity, and patience. It also pays to be persistent. In these ways which I am about to explain you will not only succeed to grow the amount of traffic which is directed to your website but this traffic will be generally more genuine, meaning there would be a greater chance of winning the potential customer over.
For your marketing efforts to succeed you need to have a proper website. The website should have one or more landing pages that act as the first page potential customers see when they visit your site. In order to successfully increase traffic on your website, you will need to offer a product or service on your website, something to keep the new customer or visitor entertained. If you are just starting out, as a minimum you should have a registration form where people can enter their name and email address to be informed of future developments. If you do not have a website yet, create a free one now before moving on to the next section of this post.
Increase traffic on your website with social media
Facebook, Twitter, and so on, are all examples of very popular social media. In some ways they are the same, in others, they are completely different. Whilst an American user would most likely prefer a Twitter account, Europeans tend to choose Facebook. Where Youtube is great for uploading videos, Instagram is the best option for picture display. One thing is for sure, you need to have one or more social media pages set up to increase traffic on your website.
To start off, select 2 or 3 social media accounts. You don’t want to spread yourself too thin. I recommend starting with Google +. Whilst this media is not considered to be the most popular, since it is part of the Google family there is a higher possibility that your posts will appear quicker on search results. For the same reason, I would also recommend opening a Youtube page. Google ranks Youtube pages with the appropriate keywords very high on the list of search results. If you could create videos regularly you will see a considerable increase in traffic on your website.
As for the 3rd social media page, think of where your audience is most likely to be. Facebook has many pages where your audience is likely to be. Linkedin is the preferred choice for business-to-business websites whilst Instagram is best for promoting your website through imagery. It is very important to include hashtags in each post to increase visibility. Be sure to post regularly and at different times of the day. Eventually, you will start seeing a pattern of what works and what works less. The most important thing to remember is to include a link to the appropriate part of your website on each post. The easier and quicker you can make the process of going from post to sale, the higher your customer conversion rate.
Write a company blog to increase traffic on your website
In order to increase traffic on your website, you need to focus on having the right keywords that direct customers to your website. The right keywords and a sufficient quantity of them. Whilst having these keywords on your website is a must, it might sound very repetitive if you are not careful. Writing a blog allows you to have the main keywords written in each blog post. Depending on how competitive the market is, it should lead to a higher ranking result for your website. It is best to have your blog incorporated into your website.
Just like with social media, you need to keep your blog up to date. Do not focus on long articles, stick to your point and be clear. Like many things in life, practice makes perfect. In your blog posts focus on a particular topic, such as a product or service, or information on the industry you supply to. Offer your knowledge and experience to answer common questions. If potential customers find your blog and see you as a reliable source of information, they will also consider you as a reliable supplier.
Review websites can also be used to increase traffic to your website
There has been a proliferation of customer-based review websites for practically any industry. TripAdvisor is probably the best-known one for travel services. Some other popular ones you might be interested in are Yelp, Trustpilot, and Which? There are many, many more, and I would recommend you focus on the one which is best suited for your website, depending on which country you are based in and what products or services you offer. You can create a business page and then link back to your website to increase traffic on your website.
People trust reviews, even if they are written by strangers. A recent study found that over 88% of consumers trust online reviews. You should encourage your new and existing customers to leave reviews on your selected review site. This will not only help you increase traffic for free but also place you as a reputable provider. Understandably you would need to get positive reviews for this to succeed, but offering a good product or service should guarantee overall positive reviews. You can even share great reviews on your website and social media posts as well as share the overall ranking.

You need to offer something if you are going to make money. Very often people choose their product and then see how to sell it. I recommend you find your clients first and then see what they would be willing to buy from you.
